Demoted Fishkill Police Officers were qualified to hold rank

Earlier in the year. The Fishkill Town Board demoted many police supervisors because they were deemed not qualified. The town board sourced the Dutchess County Department of Human resources as the reason for demotion.

After multiple on going lawsuits against Fishkill by town Police Officers.

The Dutchess County Department of Human Resources. Wrote a letter to Fishkill. Explaining that the officers demoted. Were eligible to hold rank. After speaking with the County Attorney and the NYS Department of Civil Service.

This decision by the town board will cost Fishkill taxpayers even more money.

  1. The Town of Fishkill's elected officials keep causing tax payers money in defense of unnecessary lawsuits. Supervisor LaColla goes on TV and tells Ozzy that he has a fiduciary responsibility to the town of Fishkill residence so as not to involve the town in lawsuits unnecessarily. He used this to justify not conducting a forensic audit of the Towns books. Does his fiduciary responsibility end when it comes to the police department. Does he also not want the forensic audit to take place because he was a board member when these decisions were made. What about the $1.00 land sale of Town of Fishkill Property to a sitting board member? These guys are as crooked as they come.
